I was approached by a colleague about a memorial project for the Japanese American Society honoring the passing of one of their longtime members, Mr. Watanabe. For this project, I was given some photos that had been taken of Mr. Watanabe through the years. Of the dozens of photos I received, I picked five to ten of the best ones, and then I proceeded to do a digital ink work which would be transposed to a graphic containing text. Here you can see my original inks and the final product that was finally printed.
